The weather is typical of the "rain forest", very humid and warm. The fishing season is basically during the Southern Hemisphere Winter, with weather not too hot and mosquitoes not a real problem, although we do recommend the use of insect repellent at sunset.
The rivers we fish have crystalline waters and are not too cold, for convenience it is recommended "wet wading" during the day.
There are times when to reach some distant fishing sites there will be need to walk between boulders and canyons requiring a medium level of physical condition.
When it comes to fishing, a medium to high casting skill is expected to handle the large flies, 4 to 5 inches long, and be able to cast 9-weight floating and/or sinking lines a minimum of 60 ft.
